January 16th Meeting to Feature Jack May Slideshow

Our January program will be presented by Jack May. Jack returned to Eastern Europe last August and visited about a dozen properties that were new to his travels, including about half the tramway systems in Romania, as well as a series of meter-gauge operations in the Ukraine.

2009 Meeting Dates

The New York Division of the Electric Railroaders’ Association meets monthly (usually the third Friday of each month) at the St. John’s University Manhattan Campus, located at 101 Murray Street (between Greenwich and West Streets), near the Chambers St. stations of the 1, 2, 3, 9, A, C, and E lines, and the PATH World Trade Center station. Tours of the LIRR Hillside and Morris Park facilities. Planning has not begun for this yet, so stay tuned.

Spring or Early Summer

Possible repeat of the Staten Island charter, utilizing the replacement diesels for the Alco S-1s.

Saturday, June 6

Joint trip with the New York Railroad Enthusiasts, tentatively involving a trip on the Metro North Port Jervis line.
